折角デザイン担当なんですからそういう話もしましょうか。
画像は天プラのロゴと、色々なところで使ったキャラクターです。
ロゴは一番最初に作ったのが所謂「天プラ判子」。中段右のものですね。
これは割と無難に受け入れられたものです。
次がおそらく一番皆様が目にしているロゴ、五角形の塊と天プラの文字。一番上のやつです。中段左が文字だけのバージョン。
えー。読みにくい、という声をちらほら聴きます。すみません。形のおもしろさに走りました。
五角形のカタマリはたぶんプラネタリウムなイメージだったんです、当時の自分としては。蜂の巣とかじゃないんですよ念のため。
続いてATPの解説書や星ナビの連載にもちらちら登場する腕の長い黒猫。（下段右端。実はこいつには名前があります。マオ、といいます。わざわざ言う程でもない名前です）
それとカフェ関連で登場するネコの天麩羅、ねびてん。
…どちらも好き嫌いがわかれるキャラの様です。
気持ち悪いと可愛いの中間（むしろ気持ち悪い寄り？）なキャラクターな所為でしょうか。ワタシはこういうの好きなのでついついそっちに走ってしまうのですが。
大体こういったものをその場の思いつきでざくざく作って使っています。
高梨氏、平松氏及び関係者の方々に完成品を押しつけて、文句がなければそのまま外に出てしまっているので、統一イメージとかそういうのが無いのが天プラデザインの問題点だなあと思っているんですがどうなんでしょうね。毎回違うテイストなのが売りといえば売りなのかもしれないし（笑）
